Daniel Biedermann is a leading strategy and operational executive in the commercial space industry. Educated as an aerospace engineer and business administrator, he has over 30 years of manufacturing, operational, business development and strategy experience in the satellite and launcher sectors. Prior to working as Advisor he served at SES (largest global communication satellite operator with over 60 GEO/MEO satellites and >€2B in revenue), where for the last six years he was the company’s SVP for Corporate Strategy, Market Intelligence, M&A and Business Innovation. During his career at SES, he played key roles in business and market development activities, small and big sizes acquisitions, and for the creation of LuxGovSat. Before joining SES he spent 9 years with French based Arianespace (operator of the Ariane family of launchers and world’s largest commercial launch service provider) and 5 years with Contraves Space (a Swiss based spacecraft structures design and manufacturing enterprise). Across the two organisations, he worked as production engineer, launch site and mission manager, and was tasked with a variety of responsibilities in over 40 space and launch missions.
Daniel holds an engineering degree from Swissair Engineering School in Zurich, Switzerland, and an MBA from the University of Stirling, Scotland. He is fluent in German, English and French.
