What is your favourite part about the internship as a whole?
My favourite part of the internship was working with Maud Marocki. When I applied for this position, I was fully aware that a first-ever work experience might not go perfectly, but I was completely wrong. Having such a caring, open-minded, and professional mentor as Maud was a gift, and I’m grateful for the way she guided me. Every day, she amazed me with her excellent planning and ability to coordinate so many things at once. Her mentorship has been invaluable, and I feel truly fortunate to have learned from someone so skilled and dedicated.
What person did you meet during your time with Asteroid Day that inspired you and why?
Meeting Wanda Diaz Merced has been a truly inspiring experience. Before meeting her, I had read so much about her that I thought nothing could surprise me anymore. Her perseverance and passion are heartening, and I feel truly fortunate to have met Wanda and to have enjoyed her lectures.
How did the experience with Asteroid Day impact you personally and professionally?
