Asteroid Day, the annual event dedicated to raising awareness about asteroids and planetary defence, will return to Luxembourg City on 26, 27, and 28 June with an exciting programme and exceptional guests. Organised by the Asteroid Foundation, this year’s edition marks the 10th anniversary of the UN-recognised Asteroid Day, offering insightful expert panels on key topics in space science, engaging activities for all to explore asteroid and space research, and much more.

Astronomer for a Night
Thursday 26 June 2025, 21:00 – Forum Da Vinci, Luxembourg
Astronomer for a Night offers a unique opportunity to experience the magic of the night sky alongside renowned astronomer Gianluca Masi, founder of the Virtual Telescope Project and astronomer at the Bellatrix Observatory in Rome. Join him for a live exploration featuring telescope observations and captivating discussions.
Space Lecture & Networking
Friday 27 June 2025, 17:00 – Cercle Cité, Luxembourg (streamed on Asteroid Day YouTube channel)
Designed for university students as well as all space enthusiasts, the Space Lecture gives a unique chance to dive into real-world space missions through expert case studies, interactive Q&A, and valuable networking. With dynamic elevator pitches and career insights, this event will allow you to connect with industry leaders.
